Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are the Governments flagship programme for entering the workforce in all sectors and apprentices learn on the job, building up knowledge and skills, gaining qualifications and earning money at the same time.
There are different levels of an Apprenticeship:
- Intermediate Apprenticeships usually last at least a year and apprentices work towards a National Vocational Qualification at Level 2, Key Skills and in most cases a technical certificate.
- Advanced Apprenticeships usually last at least two years and apprentices work towards a National Vocational.
- Qualification at Level 3, Key Skills and a technical certificate.
