Taking the plunge to employ a new business admin apprentice was not any easy decision for us to make. We were concerned about:

Mel at Scientiam was able to allay all of our fears and helped us through the process. They made the whole process very easy. There is very little extra work for ourselves and Clare (of Scientiam) works with Jack (our apprentice) to keep him on track and manages the process very thoroughly. I would recommend Scientiam’s apprenticeship programme to anyone who is looking to take on a valuable extra member of staff with the minimum cost and effort. We have found it to be highly beneficial:
- It does not adversely affect the day to day running of the business
- The programme is all laid out and is managed by Scientiam
- Things have worked out really well, but if we get any issues we have great support
- The only cost is the apprentices wages (as little as £2.60 per hour)
The only effect on our business is the addition of a very valuable member of staff.
